Located along the coveted streets of Golden Beach in Venice, Florida, this 4,000-square-foot residence was thoughtfully transformed from a dated 1964 home into a vibrant and welcoming retreat designed for generations to enjoy. Through Eridel Construction & Design's integrated design-build approach, both the construction and interior design were executed under a single vision, resulting in a home that feels timeless, elevated, and uniquely tailored to its owners.

Unlike a primary residence, this home was envisioned as a destination—a place where family gathers, memories are created, and three generations can comfortably come together under one roof. The homeowners wanted a residence that felt full of life, warmth, and personality; a home that would instantly put family and guests at ease while still delivering the sophistication and craftsmanship of a luxury coastal retreat. The design was guided by the belief that a vacation home should feel joyful and welcoming, with spaces that encourage connection, conversation, and celebration.

Throughout the residence, a carefully layered palette of rich textures, natural materials, and vibrant color creates an atmosphere that feels both refined and energetic. Rather than relying solely on neutral tones, thoughtfully selected textiles, patterned wallcoverings, custom furnishings, and curated accessories introduce moments of color, character, and visual interest throughout the home. The result is a residence that feels collected, personal, and full of life while maintaining a sense of cohesion and sophistication.

Architectural enhancements and custom millwork played a significant role in redefining the home, creating improved flow and functionality while adding depth and character to each space. Custom cabinetry was designed throughout the residence, balancing beauty and practicality for a home that regularly accommodates family and guests. Every material, finish, and detail was selected not only for its aesthetic contribution but also for its ability to support the lifestyle of a busy multi-generational family.

At the heart of the home, the kitchen, dining, and living spaces were designed to foster togetherness and flexibility. A custom-designed dining banquette, conceived by Eridel Construction & Design and custom fabricated in collaboration with Vice & Virtue Furniture of Sarasota, anchors the dining room and creates a comfortable, inviting gathering space for everyday meals and special occasions alike. To further support the family's lifestyle, a custom dining table was designed by Eridel Construction & Design and expertly crafted by Vice & Virtue Furniture to function in multiple configurations. For smaller gatherings, the tables remain separate, creating an intimate dining experience. For holidays and larger family celebrations, a cleverly concealed leaf—thoughtfully integrated into the design and discreetly stowed away when not in use—allows the tables to expand into one generous dining arrangement capable of accommodating extended family and guests. This highly customized solution embodies the project's overall design philosophy: creating beautiful, purposeful spaces that adapt effortlessly to the way the family lives, entertains, and creates memories together.

Throughout the home, carefully layered lighting, custom furnishings, architectural details, and thoughtfully selected finishes create an environment that feels warm, welcoming, and effortlessly livable. Each room was designed to have its own personality while contributing to the larger story of the home, resulting in interiors that feel vibrant without being overwhelming and sophisticated without feeling formal.
