With sweeping waterfront views and a setting rich in history, this residence in Historic Spanish Point presented a unique opportunity to create a home that felt deeply connected to its surroundings while reflecting a refined and highly personalized design vision. The homeowners desired an environment that embraced the relaxed beauty of coastal living without relying on traditional coastal motifs—a home that felt sophisticated, timeless, and quietly luxurious.

Eridel Construction & Design was engaged to provide full-service interior design, overseeing every aspect of the home's transformation, including custom cabinetry design, furniture layouts, lighting, materials, furnishings, and finish selections. The design was guided by a simple philosophy: allow the extraordinary waterfront setting to remain the focal point while creating interiors that feel layered, elegant, and deeply personal.

Spaces that open directly to the water were intentionally designed with a softer, more restrained palette. Layers of warm whites, soft ivories, natural oak tones, and subtle stone textures create a sense of calm that allows the landscape and water views to take center stage. Thoughtfully designed custom cabinetry, tailored furnishings, and refined architectural details provide richness and sophistication without competing with the natural beauty beyond the windows.

In contrast, the more intimate spaces tucked away from the waterfront were treated as opportunities to introduce greater personality and expression. Rich colors, bold patterns, textured wallcoverings, and carefully curated materials create moments of surprise and visual interest throughout the home. These spaces bring depth, character, and energy to the overall design, creating a thoughtful balance between serenity and vibrancy.

Architectural details and custom millwork play an integral role throughout the residence, establishing continuity from room to room while elevating the overall experience of the home. As part of this vision, Eridel Construction & Design custom designed both the dining table and kitchen hood, creating one-of-a-kind statement pieces tailored specifically to the architecture and aesthetic of the residence. These pieces were brought to life through a collaboration with Vice & Virtue Furniture in Sarasota, whose craftsmanship helped transform the designs into functional works of art. Every finish, fixture, furnishing, and detail was carefully considered to create an environment that feels collected, cohesive, and timeless.
